1. Who we are

MarketPilot ("we", "us") is a virtual stock-trading and research tool. Trades made in the app are simulated and not real financial transactions. Nothing in the app is financial advice.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: email address and authentication identifiers.
• Profile: public nickname and display name you choose.
• App data: virtual trades, watchlists, settings, journal entries, and AI analysis results you generate.
• Technical data: hashed IP address (used only to remember your cookie consent), browser session for sign-in, and basic error logs.

3. How we use it

• To run the app: sign you in, save your settings, show your portfolio.
• To power the public leaderboard and trade feed — only your nickname and virtual trades are visible to other users; your email is never shown.
• To contact you with product news, offers and other communications related to MarketPilot using the email you signed up with.
• To investigate errors and abuse.

4. Cookies

We use only essential cookies — to keep you signed in and to remember that you have seen the cookie banner. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Your cookie banner choice is remembered server-side against a salted, one-way hash of your IP address; we do not store your raw IP.

5. Third parties

• Lovable Cloud (Supabase): hosting, database, and authentication.
• Finnhub: stock market data (only the ticker symbol is sent).
• OpenAI / Lovable AI Gateway: generating analysis on request (only the symbol and public market data are sent).

6. Your rights

You can update your profile and settings at any time in Settings. To delete your account or request a copy of your data, contact us at the address below.
